Our aim is to allow the patient and their family to remain at home until death occurs, working closely in a professional and caring manner with the other health professionals involved in their care.

Are we achieving our aim? We have nursed over 350 patients up to Spring 2009 and 32 during 2008 in Shipston, Kineton, Wellesbourne and the surrounding areas. Our charity has been copied in Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold. The number of patients we care for has increased year on year and the feedback from the families of the bereaved has been immensely positive. Referrals can be made via your GP, District Nurse, MacMillan Nurse, Hospice and General Hospital. When you have been referred to the service, Janet Oakey, our Nurse Manager, or Shirley Carr will visit to discuss your nursing needs.

This wonderful service, that we offer free of charge to our community, comes at an average cost to the charity of £3000 per patient. We forecast the operating cost for this year will be £150,000 (approximately £410 per day).
